Dunn Family Charitable Foundation (DFCF) was formed in 1993 as a Massachusetts Charitable Trust and is based in Acton, MA. DFCF currently makes annual charitable donations in excess of $2 million. Most grants are in the range of $5-50K, but DFCF does make grants or multi-year commitments of up to $500K. Since 1993, DFCF has made total donations of almost $15 million.
DFCF is primarily focused on poverty alleviation and social justice globally, and provides support to organizations that work directly:
- to alleviate poverty and to positively impact healthcare, education, environment, and employment opportunities
- to promote social justice and human rights
- to provide information and opportunities for greater awareness of the realities of poverty and injustice and to inspire service
DFCF does not currently accept unsolicited grant proposals.
DFCF has committed to investing its endowment pursuant to sustainable investing guidelines. In addition, part of DFCF’s endowment is allocated for impact investing, including recoverable grants, concessionary loans, and equity investments in socially responsible enterprises.
